Millwall 11/4 to get relegated from the Championship this season

Posted July 24th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Championship
Market: Millwall to get relegated
Odds: 11/4 @ Ladbrokes

After finishing just a few places above the relegation zone last season, Championship side Millwall are being tipped to struggle in 2014/15. The London outfit have spent the last three seasons fighting a relegation battle in the second tier, winning just 21 league games since the summer of 2011.

Managed by Ian Holloway, Millwall have given little evidence to show they have what it takes to survival in the league this time around, and Ladbrokes are giving odds of 11/14 as a result. Consistently a struggling Championship outfit, Millwall are being tipped with Blackpool and Charlton to be among the bottom sides in the division.

The Lions have greatly struggled for goals in past campaigns, while conceding far too many. Their summer activity doesn’t look to have improved matters either, and with the growing strength of the Championship, Millwall could find results hard to come by.

Millwall have only been in the second tier four years following time spent in League One after getting relegated in 2006. A return could be on the cards.
