Looking to widen their advantage at the top of the Championship table, Middlesbrough will welcome relegation candidates Rotherham to the Riverside Stadium on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, tipped by many as a leading contender in the race for automatic promotion, Middlesbrough have enjoyed another bright start to the new campaign. In their 13 opening games, the Reds have won seven, drawn four and lost two, scoring 16 and conceding seven in return, they comfortably hold the best defensive record in the division. With a points tally of 25, they currently sit top of the table courtesy of their goal difference. As for their recent form, Middlesbrough have now lost just one of their last seven matches across all competitions.

As for the visitors, while Rotherham may have returned to the Championship via the playoffs last season, it is tipped by many to be a tough year for the Millers. In their opening 13 games, they have secured three wins, three draws and seven defeats, scoring 10 and conceding 20 in return, they now hold the worst attacking record in the Championship. With a points tally of 12 out of a possible 39, the Reds find themselves just sat two points above slipping into the relegation zone.
