Odds: evens @ Coral
After losing their opening Premier League game at home to Swansea City, Manchester United are worried they may not make the top-four this season to get back into the Champions League. The Red Devils lost 2-1 at Old Trafford to a decent Swansea City sides in manager Louis van Gaal’s first competitive game as United manager.
Last season, the side finished in a woeful seventh place, that led to the sacking of former manager David Moyes. After United lost on the opening day, many realise the task at hand for the side to get back to where they want to be.
After the game, van Gaal conceded the Swansea defeat wasn’t good for confidence, and that any success the club could have wont likely come this season, so he’s perhaps hinted at another testing campaign for United.
Coral are giving odds of evens for Manchester United to miss out on a top-four place, with Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham are fighting for the last Champions League spot – three teams who all finished above United last season too.
