Managerless Newcastle 5/6 to win against relegation-threatened Burnley

Competition: Premier League
Market: Newcastle to win against Burnley
Odds: 5/6 @ William Hill

Newcastle are searching for a new manager following the departure of Alan Pardew, and they have a home clash against Burnley this afternoon that they cannot afford to lose.

The Magpies are currently 10th in the Premier League table at the mid-point of the season, and are coming off the back of an impressive 3-2 win over Everton, but are expected to undergo a short period of transition with the coaching situation still up in the air.

Burnley could prove to be a big challenge, as they have picked up some impressive results of late. Sean Dyche’s side drew 2-2 away to the defending champions Manchester City, but they have also only picked up one win in their last seven games.

The Clarets did, however, pick up a point in their last league meeting against Newcastle in early December, so they will have some confidence of another upset. But considering how strong United have been on home soil – beating the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton at St James’ Park – William Hill are giving odds of 5/6 for Newcastle to get all three points against their newly-promoted opponents.
