Mainz 05 and Borussia Monchengladbach 5/2 to draw Saturday’s German Bundesliga clash

Competition: German Bundesliga
Market: Mainz 05 and Gladbach to draw
Odds: 5/2 @ William Hill

Mainz 05 welcome Borussia Monchengladbach to the Coface Arena in the German Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon, in a game that could be close to call given the two sides’ inconsistency in recent weeks. Mainz still have survival to play for but have been short of wins while Gladbach – deemed the stronger side – have just pride to play for.

Mainz are currently 13th in the German Bundesliga with 33 points from 30 games this season, having won one and drawn one of their last two. At the Coface Arena, Mainz have struggled for consistency, winning just one of their last five at home, but their opponents have been disappointing of late too which may lead to an even affair.

As for the visitors, Borussia Monchengladbach find themselves 10th in the division with 39 points, having lost their last two games ahead of Saturday’s meeting. Away from home, Gladbach have averaged just one point per game in their last four on the road, and have been short of goals too.

With Mainz and Borussia Monchengladbach having drawn 12 games between them this season, William Hill are giving odds of 5/2 for the two sides to play out a stalemate.
