Maccabi Tel Aviv 1/3 to win Tuesday’s Champions League qualifier against Hibernian
Competition: Champions League
Market: Maccabi Tel Aviv to win against Hibernian
Odds: 1/3 @ William Hill
Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv lock horns with Scottish side Hibernian in the Champions League qualifiers on Tuesday night, and are big favourites to come away with a win in the first leg. Tel Aviv have history in the prestigious European competition, and are hopeful of making the group stages. As for Hibs, the Scotland opposition don’t have the best track record in Europe.
Despite having home advantage, Hibs are big underdogs. Their squad never manages to shape up against any team in the European competition, and the tie could well be decided in Tuesday’s outcome. They have some talent in their team, with the likes of Eran Zahavi and Gil Vermouth being more recognisable faces. The Scots are no slouches, but are inferior on paper, and it could see them coming unstuck in their own backyard.
William Hill are giving odds of 1/3 for Maccabi Tel Aviv to win the first leg of Tuesday’s Champions League qualifiers against Hibernian, which would put them in the driving seat to progress into the next round.
