Leicester City 11/20 to beat Leeds in Tuesday’s EFL Cup game
Competition: EFL Cup
Market: Leicester City to beat Leeds United
Odds: 11/20 @ Mr Green
The EFL Cup returns this week following yet another incredibly unpredictable Premier League weekend. One win separates 16 sides from the quarter-finals of the competition, and the cup actually constitutes a very good distraction from the league, with Leicester in need of a win considering their current situation, as they take on Leeds on Tuesday.
Leicester City recently parted with manager Craig Shakespeare following an awful run of form that saw them take just a single win from their opening eight games. Following the departure of Shakespeare, the Foxes managed to pick up an immediate victory as they dispatched Swansea 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium. While they would be best off focusing on their league situation, the Foxes will fancy their chances against their Championship opponents.
Leeds are currently in very good form in the league as they have won seven times in their 13 games. 21 goals scored is a very good return, but they have seen 12 goals hit the back of their own net this season and they will need to be far better at the back if they are to stop Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and co from running riot on the day. A victory would be absolutely huge for the Championship side as they look to bring themselves to the forefront of English football again by ascending to the Premier League. However, a long cup run would also achieve this, which means the visitors will likely go all out. However, Leicester looked very good at the weekend, and Mr Green are giving the Foxes odds of 11/20 to beat Leeds.
