Nancy could well extend their lead at the top of Ligue 2 with victory over travel-sick Laval when the two sides lock horns tonight at the Stade Marcel Picot.

The home side are big favourites to pick up all three points given their superior form to that of the visitors. Nancy are two points clear at the summit and are coming off the pack of five wins and a draw from their last six in Ligue 2.

As for the away side, Laval are 10 places and 14 points worse off than their opponents, and have gone seven games without a win on the road. The underdogs have also failed to score in four of their previous six away outings, so it’s hard to see anything other than a comfortable home win this evening.

Victory for the in-form Nancy could see them go five clear of Dijon, while making it six consecutive wins on home soil too. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 4/9 for the Ligue 2 leaders to see past Laval , extending the latter’s winless run on the road to eight games.
