Desperate to close the gap at the top of the Championship table, Leeds will host Reading at Elland road on Tuesday night.
Starting with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side, picking up a 2-0 win over Bristol City on Saturday, the Whites appear to have got their season back on track after a rough spell prior to the international break. Now sat third in the Championship table, the former Argentina boss will be looking to carry on Leeds’ recent performances at Elland Road. Now unbeaten in their last four matches on home soil, if Tuesday’s hosts are to mount a return to the Premier League this season, they will be looking for leading goalscorer Kemar Roofe to carry on his impressive start to the season. Despite returning from injury earlier in the month, the 25-year-old found the net against City over the weekend and now has 14 goals across all competitions.
As for the visitors, while Reading have made some improvements under former Swansea boss Paul Clement, many believe that the Royals could be at the heart of yet another relegation battle. Coming off the back of a 0-0 draw away at Wigan over the weekend, they have now managed to record just one Championship win in their last five and their form on the road will be giving Clement the biggest headache. Reading are without a win away from the Madejski since the middle of September. With only their goal difference seeing keeping them out of the bottom three and just one clean sheet in their last eight, we’re backing Roofe to add to his tally on Tuesday.
