Juventus suffered a 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday evening, but could still go four points clear at the Serie A summit if they win their game in hand. Despite the loss, the Old Lady remain top of the table and have their destiny in their own hands in the second half of the season.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side are top of the Italian Serie A table with 45 points from 19 games this season, having won four of their last five. The defending champions have suffered four defeats in 2016/17 despite still boasting the best defensive record, but could go four points ahead of second-placed AS Roma if they win their game in hand.

Juventus haven’t been at their best for parts of the season but they still have a chance to open up some daylight between them and the current runners-up. There’s still a second half of the campaign to play but Juve often pick up their form in the run-in to distance themselves from the rest of the field.

AS Roma, SSC Napoli and SS Lazio are second, third and fourth in the Serie A table and are all chasing Juventus in the title race. However, William Hill are backing the leaders with odds of 1/5 for Juve to win the crown once more.
