Enjoying a very bright start to their EURO 2020 qualifying campaign, a high-flying Hungary will host Wales on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, enjoying a very eye-catching run over the past eight months, Hungary are enjoying quite the resurge. Winning two of their opening three Group E matchups and seeing their goal difference take them to the top of the Group, ahead of World Cup finalists Croatia, they have also now won four of their last five matches across all competitions. Along with scoring five goals in their last two Group E appearances, Tuesday’s hosts have continued to shine on home soil. Hungary have won each of their previous four consecutive matches in front of their own supporters, scoring a pair of goals in each of those victories.

As for the visitors, after finishing behind Denmark in their inaugural UEFA Nations League campaign, it has been a very inconsistent 12 months for Wales. Winning one and drawing one of their opening two Group E matchups, the Reds have lost three of their previous five outings and have continued to struggle on the road. Suffering a 2-1 loss away at Croatia over the weekend, the visitors have lost three of their last five matches outside of Cardiff and have recorded just one away victory in their last five away matches. Given Hungary’s very impressive resurge, we’re expecting the hosts to extend their buffer at the top of Group E on Tuesday night.
