Hull City 21/10 to get relegated from the Premier League next season
Competition: Premier League
Market: Hull City to get relegated in 2014/15
Odds: 21/10 @ Betfair
With Hull City showing worrying signs of a struggle in the second-half of the 2013/14 Premier League season, coupled with the distraction of a Europa League campaign next term, there’s reason to believe Steve Bruce’s side could go down in 2014/15.
The Tigers were FA Cup finalists and booked their place in the Europa League as a result, but the competition has always been a hindrance for many clubs without large enough squads to handle the fixture pileup.
Considering Hull ended last season with just 37 points. They lost 13 games out of 19 in the league, which saw them in the bottom-three for league form.
Swansea City and Newcastle have both struggled in the league following their qualification in the Europa League, and Hull are being tipped to do the same, with Betfair giving odds of 21/10 for the side to get relegated next season.
Considering City averaged less than a point over the course of the 2013/14 season, Europe certainly won’t aid them in their task of bettering such a performance.
