Hearts 1/2 to win against Kilmarnock in this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership clash

Posted December 27th, 2016 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Scottish Premiership
Market: Hearts to win against Kilmarnock
Odds: 1/2 @ William Hill

Hearts welcome Kilmarnock to Tynecastle Stadium in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon, and are big favourites to pick up all three points to potentially move up a place in the table depending on other results, confining the visitors to their third defeat in five.

Home side Hearts are fourth in the Scottish Premiership with 28 points from 19 games, but are four games without a win ahead of this afternoon’s clash. Hearts have been more convincing on home soil, however, winning three and drawing two of their last five games at Tynecastle Stadium, and will fancy their chances against a travel-sick Kilmarnock as a result.

As for the visitors, Kilmarnock are eighth in the Scottish Premiership with 19 points from as many games, having also gone four without a win. Killy are struggling for wins on the road too, enduring another four-game winless run on their travels. A win today could see them move two places up the table, but their recent form suggests otherwise.

Hearts could leapfrog third-placed Aberdeen if they win and the latter suffer defeat, and William Hill are giving odds of 1/2 for the hosts to pick up all three points against a Kilmarnock side struggling away from home.
