Gremio travel to the Estádio Olímpico Pedro Ludovico to face Atlético Goianiense in the Brazilian Serie A on Thursday morning, and are favourites to see past the hosts given the contrasting form of the two sides. Gremio could narrow the gap to leaders Corinthians with a win, while Atletico-GO are desperate to lift themselves from the foot of the table.

João Paulo Sanches’ Atlético Goianiense side are currently bottom of the Brazilian Serie A with just 12 points from 17 games this season, coming off the back of three defeats and two draws from their last half a dozen outings. Atlético Goianiense have gone five without a win on home soil, losing three times, and are expected to come unstuck to Gremio as a result.

As for the visitors, Renato Portaluppi’s Gremio side find themselves second in the division with 33 points from 17 games, having won three and drawn two of their last five outings.
