Gremio 11/5 to win against Fluminense in Friday’s Brazilian Serie A clash

Gremio travel to the Maracanã to face Fluminense in the Brazilian Serie A on Friday morning, and could well pick up all three points given their superior form in recent weeks. Fluminense are lower in the table with a much inferior points tally and have been short of wins.

Gremio have barely put a foot wrong this season and their free-scoring approach could see a porous Fluminense breached. Renato Portaluppi’s side are currently second in the Brazilian Serie A with 15 points from a possible 18, coming off the back of three consecutive wins.

As for the home side, Abel Braga’s Fluminense side find themselves five places and five points worse off in the division than Gremio and have picked up just one win in their last four games. Fluminense have conceded eight goals in their previous four also and could well struggle to keep Gremio out on Friday as a result.

Gremio have won two of their three away games this season too, scoring more than three goals per game on average, and William Hill are giving odds of 11/5 for the visitors to pick up all three points at the Maracanã this week.
