Ghana 2/5 to see past Togo in Monday afternoon’s international friendly
Competition: International friendly
Market: Ghana to win against Togo
Odds: 2/5 @ Coral
Ghana host Togo in an international friendly on Monday afternoon, with the Black Stars big favourites to come out on top. They boast a considerable stronger squad, with many recognisable faces having played at the top level in their domestic careers – Jeffrey Schlupp (Leicester City), Emmanuel Badu (Udinese), Christian Atsu (former of Chelsea), Asamoah Gyan, and Jordan Ayew.
Despite the big names, Ghana’s form has left something to be desired this year. They finished runners-up in the African Cup of Nations, losing the final on penalties against Libya. And while a big shock, Ghana had only won three of their six games played in normal time, averaging less than a goal a game throughout the tournament.
Their form in friendlies since has been woeful, losing four of the following six games played. As a result, Togo will have some confidence of springing a surprise. However, the visitors have suffered a host of defeats themselves in the last 18 months.
Coral are giving odds of 2/5 for Ghana to come out on top in Monday afternoon’s international friendly, with the visitors’ form likely to see them struggle against a Black Stars side boasting too much top talent.
