Germany 11/8 to beat Mexico to nil in Sundays World Cup showdown
Competition: World Cup
Market: Germany win to nil
Odds: 11/8 @ Bet 365
Looking to make a statement in Group F, defending World Champions Germany will face off against Mexico at the Stadion Luzhniki on Sunday afternoon.
For Germany, after winning all of their games during their qualifying campaign and boasting both the best defensive and attacking records in their 10 outings, Germany enter this summers finals in pole position to top a group consisting of Mexico, South Korea and Sweden. However, if the Whites want to successfully defend their title, they will have to improve on their form of late. Germany have now won just one of their five international friendlies and Jocham Lowe will be demanding a dominant display on Sunday.
As for Mexico, much like their opponents this weekend, The Greens also enjoyed a stellar run in their qualifying campaign. Only losing one matchup in the north, Central America and Caribbean groups and also holding both the best attacking and defensive record, Mexico will likely be squaring off against Sweden in that race for second spot. However, while Mexico have only lost two of their seven international friendlies, it does appear that they will simply be outclassed on Sunday.
