Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has been linked to an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, as a result of a difficult season with the Spaniards in his second campaign since his big-money move from Tottenham. Injuries and inconsistent form have been common-place for the Welsh international, but he’s never made any public desire to want to leave.

Bale certainly wants to prove his worth at the club after a dream debut campaign in 2013/14 that saw him score in the Copa Del Rey final and Champions League final, while lighting up the Bernabeu all through the season. Manchester United have been linked with his services, and the decision will be down to Real.

The Spanish giants are overstocked in his position, with James Rodriguez and Isco capable of playing as a forward with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, so manager Carlo Ancelotti could have a decision to make if United make a lucrative offer.

But despite the speculation, 888 Sport are giving odds of 1/5 for Gareth Bale to remain at Real Madrid thus summer. United have the money, but Real hold the cards, and they won’t sell unless the deal is deemed good for them.
