Galway United 8/11 to win against Wexford Youths in Friday’s Irish Airtricity League clash
Competition: Irish Airtricity League
Market: Galway to win against Wexford
Odds: 8/11 @ William Hill
Galway United welcome Wexford Youths to Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday night, and are favourites to come out on top to end their winless run in the division. Wexford are enduring an atrocious run of form which should see Galway turn their recent draws into a win.
United are currently fifth in the Irish Airtricity League with 23 points from 17 games, and risk dropping four places in the table if they lose to Wexford. They have drawn two of their last three games, but haven’t been too convincing on home soil. However, their opponents Wexford have fared even worse of late.
Youths are 11th in the league with 12 points from 18 games, and have suffered five defeats on the bounce. Four points above bottom-placed Longford Town but four points adrift of 10th-placed Bray Wanderers, Wexford will end the day in 11th regardless of the outcome. A win looks unlikely given their form too, as they’ve won just once in nine away games.
Galway have gone four games without a win, but they have been totting up points with draws, and William Hill are giving odds of 8/11 for the home side to pick up all three points against Wexford Youths.
