Competition: Premier League

Market: Fulham to beat Derby County and both teams to score

Odds: 4/1 @ Bet365

With just one position left in the Premier League next season, the playoff’s get underway on Friday night when Fulham will travel to Pride Park to face Derby County.

For the hosts for Friday’s first leg, while Derby famously struggled to keep up their early season pace, while The Rams have slipped down the Championship table, Derby managed to secure sixth spot in the final game of the season. After 46 games this year, Derby have won 20, drawn 15 and lost 11, scoring 70 and conceding 48 in return, no team in the playoffs have shipped more goals than The Whites. Finishing the year with a points tally of 75, on the final day of the Championship campaign Derby were able to edge past Preston and finish with just a two-point advantage. As for their recent form, although Derby were showing their struggles entering 2018, the Rams have shown glimpses of their early season performances, Derby are now unbeaten in their last three and have scored eight in those outings. However, Derby have now been unable to register a single clean sheet in any of their last six Championship outings.

As for the visitors, although it has been a record-breaking year for Fulham, The Cottagers will enter the playoffs feeling disappointed they could not clinch automatic promotion. After 46 Championship games this season, Fulham have won 25, drawn 13 and lost eight, scoring 79 and conceding 46 in return, The Whites undoubtedly enter the playoffs as the overwhelming favorites. Finishing with a points tally of 88, Fulham only finished two points adrift of Cardiff City in second and had they managed to carry on their winning ways last weekend, The Cottagers would have already booked their Premier League status. As for their recent form, although they’re coming off the back of a loss, Fulham have now only been beaten once in their last 20 Championship outings, drawing four and winning 15.
