Fulham 9/1 to get relegated from the Championship following winless start
Competition: Championship
Market: Fulham to get relegated
Odds: 9/1 @ William Hill
With zero points from their first four league games, newly-relegated Fulham find themselves in trouble early on. Manager Felix Magath could be out of a job unless he can arrest the slide, but considering the nature of their recent 5-1 hammering against Derby County, the Cottagers could be in for a miserable season.
Fulham, who were pre-season favourites to earn promotion back to the Premier League, are rock bottom of the second tier after four games. They’ve lost 2-1 away to Ipswich Town, 1-0 at home to Millwall, 1-0 at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers and 5-1 away to Derby.
As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 9/1 for the London outfit to suffer double relegation from the Premier League to League One in record time – something Wolves suffered a number of years ago. Magath’s job is on the line, which could mean Fulham appoint their fourth manager in a year under owner Shahid Kahn.
