Odds: 10/11 @ Bet365
With both sides in prime position to occupy one of the lucrative playoff spots come the end of the season, on Tuesday night, high-flying Fulham will look to move just two-points off automatic promotion as they host Sheffield United at Craven Cottage.
After four years away from the Premier League, Slaviša Jokanović’s Cottagers now appear to be firm favorites to make a long-awaited return to England’s top flight. Arguably the Championship’s in-form team at the moment, the West London club find their confidence at a seasons high. Coming off the back of a 2-1 win over fellow promotion hopefuls Derby County over the weekend, Fulham now sit fourth in the table and hold a crucial seven-point buffer over seventh spot. Jokanović’s side are now unbeaten in their last 10 matches and have won their last two games on the bounce, including an eye-catching 2-0 win over runaway league leaders Wolves.
As for the visitors on Tuesday night, Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United side know that they’re still firmly in the race for a top six finish come May. Currently sat eighth in the Championship table, the Blades only sit two points adrift of Bristol City who occupies sixth position. For Wilder’s side, United have battled back from a poor run of form over the Christmas period to stay in contention, however, the Blades have shown some issues when on their travels, the Red and Whites have lost three of their last four on the road, including a 1-0 loss to relegation strugglers Hull City.
