With Ajax manager Frank De Boer publicly admitting his interest to manage in the Premier League, while previously revealing Tottenham Hotspur had contacted him about taking the head coach role for next season, De Boer is being given odds by Coral of 10/11 to be the next manager at White Hart Lane.

De Boer, 43, has won four consecutive league titles for Ajax and is now seeking a new challenge. Tottenham still have Tim Sherwood in charge, but owner Daniel Levy has kept tight-lipped about his future, and it’s expected Sherwood will be relieved of his duties at the end of the campaign.

Tottenham have endured a disappointing season after so much hope from the last campaign. The mid-season sacking of Andres Villas-Boas hasn’t helped matters, but Sherwood has tried valiantly to steer the ship in the right direction. It’s clear the club are in need of surgery to get themselves back on course to realistically challenge for a Champions League finish next season, after spending £100M on transfers to end up in a worse place than 2012/13.

They are hoping De Boer could be the man to bring success back to White Hart Lane.
