France 10/11 to beat Croatia in Sundays World Cup Final
Competition: World Cup
Market: France win
Odds: 10/11 @ Bet 365
After over a month of competing, we are down to our finals two and on Sunday afternoon France and Croatia will battle it out for the most prestigious trophy in football at the Stadion Luzhniki in Moscow.
Starting with France, despite the disappointment of missing out on the Euro 2016 title in their home nation two years ago, The Blues appear to have bounced back and has grown as the tournament has progressed. Winning two and drawing one in the group stages, France have successfully collected the scalps of Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium on route to the final. Along with scoring 10 goals in their six World Cup outings, it has been their defensive record that has caught the eye. The Blues have now kept a clean sheet in five of their last six and we believe they will be to strong for a Croatia side who have now seen all of their knockout matches go to extra time.
As for Croatia, although many had them tipped as a darkhorse entering this summers finals, The Blazers have remained resilient and have collected the plaudits on route to Moscow. Winning all three of their group matches and finishing above the likes of 2014 World Cup finalists Argentina, Croatia have scored 11 times and conceded five in return. However, Croatia became the first team to play extra time in three consecutive World Cup matches since England in 1990 and we do believe fatigue will play a part. Also, Croatia have failed to beat France in the five previous meetings between the two sides, Drawing two and losing three.
