Former Watford manager Pepe Sannino 10/11 to become next Leeds United manager
Market: Sannino to be next Leeds manager
Odds: 10/11 @ William Hill
After Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino sacked Dave Hockaday, former Watford head coach Giuseppe Sannino is being touted as his successor at Elland Road.
Sannino resigned from his post with the Hornets despite the Championship club being in second place in the league. And due to Cellino’s penchant for hiring staff from his native Italy, the 57-year-old is the bookies favourite.
However, Leeds United hasn’t been a happy club in the last 12 months. The Whites have had three managers in just half a year, since Cellino completed his takeover of the club. But it’s thought Sannino would be keen to work under him for the Yorkshire outfit.
William Hill are giving odds of 10/11 for the ex-Watford man to be appointed next Leeds manager, but he does have competition. Former Brighton & Hove Albion coach Oscar Garcia, ex-West Brom manager Steve Clarke, and one of Leeds’ former managers Simon Grayson have all been linked to the vacancy.
