Flamengo welcome Ponte Preta to the Estádio Luso Brasileiro in the Brazilian Serie A on Thursday morning, and are favourites to come out on top given their unbeaten run at home and the poor away form of the visitors. Flamengo haven’t many games but they haven’t lost many either and they may capitalise on Ponte Preta’s poor defensive record.

Ze Ricardo’s Flamengo side are currently 15th in the Brazilian Serie A table with seven points from six games, coming off the back of one win and four draws. At home, Flamengo have drawn both games, conceding just one goal, and a porous Ponte Preta side having lost a couple of games on the road might well come unstuck on Thursday as a result.

As for the visitors, Gilson Kleina’s Ponte Preta side find themselves fifth in the division with 10 points from half a dozen outings, but have picked up just one point from nine on the road, shipping more than two goals on average. Flamengo could go level on points with Ponte Preta with a win this week, and William Hill are backing the hosts with odds of 11/20 to deliver.
