Chelsea are reportedly close to signing Fiorentina wide man Juan Cuadrado for around £27M in January, but the deal will be dependent on the Blues selling Andre Schurrle to Wolfsburg to fund the purchase.

The German international is said to be close to making the return to the Bundesliga, but whether or not his asking price of £25M has been met remains to be seen.

Regardless, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is very keen on Cuadrado, as he feels the 26-year-old will provide goals and creativity, as well as the work rate he desires from all his players. The Colombian international has scored and created eight goals in 17 league games this season, boasting a pass completion of 87%, while having made 36 chances and 43 successful dribbles.
