Feyenoord 1/6 to win the Dutch Eredivisie title this season
Competition: Dutch Eredivisie
Market: Feyenoord to win the title
Odds: 1/6 @ William Hill
Feyenoord suffered a 3-0 defeat to an in-form Excelsior in Sunday’s Dutch Eredivisie which saw second-placed Ajax cut the deficit to the leaders to just a single point. Feyenoord have a home game against Heracles to come in the final outing and are expected to come out on top to seal the title for the first time since 1998/99.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side are currently top of the Dutch Eredivisie table with 79 points from 33 games this season, coming off the back of three wins and a draw from their last five outings. Feyenoord’s final game is at home, and given they boast 14 wins and two draws from 16 at De Kuip, they’ll fancy their chances of winning the league crown on the weekend.
As for their title rivals, Ajax have made up a lot of ground in recent weeks, having previously been six points adrift going into April. But now the title will be decided on the final day of the season and Ajax are big favourites to win against an out-of-form Willem II.
The perennial champions should come out on top as a result, meaning Feyenoord will need one more win to stay ahead of Ajax and win the Dutch Eredivisie. William Hill are giving odds of 1/6 for Feyenoord to win the league title this season for the first time since the 1998/99 campaign.
