England 8/15 to beat Panama to nil in Sundays World Cup clash
Competition: World Cup
Market: England win to nil
Odds: 8/15 @ Bet 365
Looking to secure their spot in the round of 16, England will face off against World Cup debutants Panama at the Stadion Nizhny Novgorod in Sundays Group G second matchup.
For England, although a Harry Kane brace in injury time may have clawed them over the line, The Three Lions are off to a winning start and another victory against Panama on Sunday will book their spot in the round of 16. While they may currently be three points adrift of Group G running mates Belgium, England have continued to impress under boss Gareth Southgate. Their 2-1 win over Tunisia last week means that The Whites are now unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions and their defensive record has continued to shine. Aside from Tunisia being handed a highly controversial penalty, England have kept a clean sheet in six of their last nine and have also managed to keep out the likes of Germany, Italy and Brazil on that journey.
As for Panama, while they did manage to contain Belgium until halftime in their opening matchup in Group G, the World Cup debutants eventually fell to the overwhelming gulf in class and came away with a 3-0 defeat. Although Panama did manage to secure their spot at this summers finals in the final match of their qualifying campaign, they only recorded nine goals in their 10 group matches and only bottom place Trinidad and Tobago held a worst attacking record. Now failing to find the net in their last three matches in all competitions, we feel this will be another long afternoon for Panama.
