England 2/5 to beat Honduras in their last international friendly before this summer’s World Cup
Competition: International friendly
Market: England to win against Honduras
Odds: 2/5 @ Bet 365
England’s post-season pre-World Cup international friendlies have been bittersweet. They beat Peru, but drew to Ecuador, albeit with an experimental starting XI. They would love to wrap up their last game against Honduras with a win this weekend, however, and are being given odds of 2/5 in which to achieve it.
It’s set to be a stronger England side to face Honduras, as manager Roy Hodgson looks to give valuable match experience to the names he’s expected to be relying upon in this summer’s World Cup.
The Three Lions’ lineup against Honduras could arguably be the team they start with against Italy, with their first-choice XI possibly being:
Joe Hart (Man City)
Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton) Leighton Baines (Everton)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool)
James Milner (Man City), Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), Danny Welbeck (Man Utd)
Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)
Honduras shouldn’t be underestimated though. They have a number of well-recognised players in Roger Espinoza (Wigan), Maynor Figueroa (Hull) and Wilson Palacios (Stoke).
