With a number of World Cup playoffs adorning the international break, it is easy to forget that there are also some very interesting friendlies taking place across the planet. Indeed, some of the top teams in the world are locking horns ahead of the World Cup next summer, with England hosting Brazil in what could be a very entertaining game on Tuesday.

England looked very strong in their World Cup qualifying campaign as they made it to the showpiece event with relative ease. Eight wins and two draws saw them go unbeaten, while they managed to concede just three goals across their campaign. Against Germany on Friday evening, a very young side held the world champions in an entertaining 0-0 draw. The youthful side gave a performance of some character with the fans treated to a display from England against a top team that they have not seen for some years. Ahead of the World Cup, Gareth Southgate will be on the lookout for any players that will give his side an edge, and there were a number of promising players on show on Friday.

For Brazil, their World Cup qualifying campaign was a very strong one. From their 18 games, they lost just once and collected 41 points, seeing them finish 10 points clear of second-placed Uruguay. 41 goals scored and just 11 conceded shows their ability, and England will have to be at their best to win this one. With their superb performance against Germany in mind, we are backing England to win with odds of 15/4 @ Bet365.
