England are hoping to get off to the best possible start to their World Cup preparations by beating South-American side Peru in the pre-tournament warm-up game at Wembley.

The Three Lions have three games to play before their World Cup campaign starts, and tonight they are favourites to come away with a win against Peru in the last game before they travel to Miami for their next friendlies against Ecuador and Honduras.

“We are looking forward to (tonight) and we are certainly going to take (Peru) very seriously. We are desperate to leave England having left behind a good impression for our fans,” said England manager Roy Hodgson.
