EC Vitoria welcome Botafogo to Barradão in the Brazilian Serie A on Wednesday evening, and are favourites to come out on top to climb out of the relegation zone. Vitoria haven’t had the best start to the season but did win their last game and their good defensive record on home soil might see them edging Botafogo.

Alexandre Gallo’s Vitoria side are currently 18th in the Brazilian Serie A with four points from six games this season, having picked up a win in their last outing. Vitoria won their last home outing and have conceded just two goals in their last three games at Barradão and will fancy their chances against a travel-sick Botafogo as a result.

As for the visitors, Jair Ventura‘s Botafogo side find themselves 12th in the table with eight points from six games and without a win in their last three outings. Away from home, Botafogo have managed just one point from a possible nine and have failed to score on their travels too.
