Eamonn Dolan 6/5 to be appointed the next Leeds manager

Competition: Championship
Market: Eamonn Dolan to be next Leeds manager
Odds: 6/5 @ Betfair

Former Reading caretaker manager Eamonn Dolan, 46, is the bookies’ favourite to be named the next head coach at Leeds United this summer. Following the departure of manager Brian McDermott, there have been many names touted to be his successor – with Dave Hockaday, Gianluca Festa, Gianfranco Zola, and Benito Carbone some of the names in the frame.

But Dolan has reportedly made the final three shortlist of candidates for Leeds, with owner Massimo Cellino set to soon make a final decision on who to appoint.

Betfair are giving odds of 6/5 for Dolan to be the man at the helm, which would certainly be a surprise given the lack of experience compared to his competition. The 46-year-old has only had just shy of three years managerial experience in the last 12 years.

He been in charge of Reading academy for the last decade, and enjoyed a spell as caretaker briefly, but is now very close to getting what would be his biggest job of his career.
