Dundalk welcome St Patrick’s Athletic to Oriel Park in the Irish Airtricity League on Friday evening, and are big favourites to pick up all three points given the visitors’ poor form on the road. Dundalk, by comparison, have impressed at home in recent weeks and will fancy their chances of coming out on top to narrow the gap to leaders Cork City.

As for the hosts, Stephen Kenny’s Dundalk side are currently second in the Irish Airtricity League with 53 points from 26 games, coming off the back of four wins and a draw from their last six outings. Dundalk have won back-to-back games most recently and have been strong on home soil too, boasting three wins from their previous four at Oriel Park.

As for the visitors, Liam Buckley’s St Patrick’s Athletic side find themselves six places and 23 points worse off than Dundalk in the division, although they have won four in five overall. However, it’s St Pat’s away form which could cost them in Friday’s trip to Oriel Park given they have picked up just one win in their last nine on the road.
