Despite Manchester United’s manager Louis van Gaal with the Netherlands squad until after the World Cup, the club are still going to make moves in the transfer market, both with incomings and outgoings this summer. One player they are hoping to sign is Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed another successful season in regard to his own personal form, scoring 16 goals, making 13 assists, and creating a further 90 chances. He’s hot property, and has a number of elite European clubs in the market for him. But Manchester United have continued to seek him out and consider him to be a player who can greatly better their fortunes.

At Dortmund, things have become stale. The Bundesliga outfit have won no major trophy for the last two years, and as a result their best players could potentially seek pastures anew.

888 Sport are giving odds of 5/2 for Reus to make the move to the Premier League, of which he’d be expected to light up in his first season. United supporters will see him in action in this summer’s World Cup too.
