Don’t Rule Out Crystal Palace Against Manchester United This Weekend

Crystal Palace come into this weekend’s meeting with Manchester United off the back of very impressive home form. The Eagles have taken 10 points from 12 at Selhurst Park in 2014, while losing just once at home since November. Manchester United have taken just one point on their travels in their last three away games.

With Tony Pulis’ men enjoying home advantage, backing his side with Betfred odds of 11/8 for Palace to either win or draw looks a good bet.

The Eagles have kept five clean sheets in their eight home league games since Pulis took over from former manager Ian Holloway this season. On the flipside, Manchester United are on a run of three league games without a win, with David Moyes’ men having won only twice in their previous seven league outings.

Their failure to find any real consistency for a long enough period in the league means they can’t be trusted to get a result in the bookies, and more especially considering their recent league run.

Crystal Palace have been formidable at home, so backing them with Betfred at 11/8 to either win or draw at home to a Manchester United side with one of the worst away records in 2014 could be a nice return. Don’t rule them out.
