Crystal Palace 9/5 to beat Stoke in Saturdays Premier League matchup

Market: Crystal Palace to beat Stoke

Odds: 9/5 @ Bet365

With the Premier League table reaching the end of the season, English football’s top division remains incredibly tight at both ends of the table with just a single point seeing a team jump several places. On that note, Crystal Palace can secure their Premier League status if they can come past Swansea on Saturday afternoon.

For the hosts, although Stoke have shown some signs of improvement under Paul Lambert, Stoke still find themselves at the heart of a relegation battle. After 36 Premier League games this season, Stoke have won just six, drawing 12 and losing 18, scoring 32 and conceding 65, The Potters now hold the second worst defensive record in the division. With a points tally of 30, Stoke now sit 19th in the table with two games remaining and are three points adrift of safety, however, their goal difference makes the challenge even more difficult. As for their recent form, Stoke have drawn their last three matches on the bounce and have failed to pick up three points in their last 12 Premier League appearances, losing six five and drawing seven.

As for the visitors, a late resurge at the back end of the season has seen Crystal Palace all but secure their Premier League status. After 36 games, Palace have won nine, drawn 11 and lost 16, scoring 41 and conceding 54. Now on a points tally of 38, the South London side find themselves 11th in the table and while they now hold a seven-point buffer over the drop zone with two games remaining, a win on Saturday could see them jump into the top half of the table. As for their recent form, the Eagles are now unbeaten in their last four appearances and have now scored 10 in their last four.
