Crystal Palace 9/4 to finish in the top-10 of the Premier League this season

Competition: Premier League
Market: Crystal Palace to finish top-10
Odds: 9/4 @ William Hill

Crystal Palace have bolstered their defensive and attacking options this summer, with manager Alan Pardew seeing his pleas for investment answered by club owner Steve Parish.

Winger Andros Townsend made the switch from Newcastle United, while centre-back James Tomkins join from West Ham, and Palace could enjoy a good season in 2016/17 as a result.

The Eagles saw their form spiral in the second-half of last season, eventually finishing 15th in the Premier League with 42 points from their 38 games. Up until January, Crystal Palace were fifth in the division, just four points off a Champions League place, but went on a long winless run to rapidly drop down the table.

Pardew faced pressure in his job as a result of the collapse but he’s instead been backed in the transfer market with the money to procure his targets. This might be the manager’s last season if things go poorly as Palace are being linked with a number of ambitious moves for expensive talent.

Given how well they start the last season, and now their squad will be considerably stronger in the Premier League, William Hill are giving odds of 9/4 for Crystal Palace to finish in the top-10 of the division.
