Crystal Palace travel to Villa Park tonight to face Aston Villa, and are firm favourites to pick up all three points given the contrasting form between the two Premier League sides.

The Eagles are enjoying a bright first half of the campaign under manager Alan Pardew, and are hoping they can continue such form by piling the misery onto the relegation-threatened Villans. A Europa league spot is a lofty dream, but they continue to confound their critics so far.

Currently 7th after 20 games, victory could see Palace finish the evening in 5th-place which would put them above Manchester United in the Premier League table. They did lose their last game in the division, but have been beaten only once in their previous seven, and their opponents are faring much worse.

Aston Villa are rock bottom in the Premier League and a considerable distance off safety. The Midlands outfit haven’t won a game since the opening day of the season, and have lost consecutive matches ahead of tonight’s meeting. Despite home advantage, a travel-happy Palace are 6/4 with William Hill to pick up all three points.
