Crystal Palace 1/2 to appoint Newcastle manager Alan Pardew as head coach

Competition: Premier League
Market: Alan Pardew to be appointed next Crystal Palace manager
Odds: 1/2 @ 888 Sport

Following the sacking of manager Neil Warnock, Crystal Palace are looking for his replacement. Assistant Keith Millen is the caretaker again for the time being, and it’s thought that the former Bristol City manager is in the frame to be appointed the job on a full-time basis.

But there is a surprise name among the list of potential candidates that could see a real shakeup in the Premier League – Newcastle’s Alan Pardew. The United boss has been in charge of the Magpies since 2010, and is enjoying a great campaign in the top flight this season, with the Toon Army currently 9th in the table.

The 53-year-old was previously under threat in his position following a poor start to the season with Newcastle, but has turned results around, so many are questioning why he would ever leave. But nevertheless, 888 Sport are giving odds of 1/2 for Pardew to be appointed next Crystal Palace manager, despite being happy in his job with the North-East outfit.
