Cork City 4/9 to win against St Patrick’s Athletic in tonight’s Irish Airtricity League clash

Posted October 17th, 2016 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Irish Airtricity League
Market: Cork City to win against St Pat’s
Odds: 4/9 @ William Hill

Cork City travel to Richmond Park to face St Patrick’s Athletic in the Irish Airtricity League tonight, and are big favourites to pick up all three points to potentially cut the lead of Dundalk at the top to just one point.

Hosts St Patrick’s Athletic find themselves eighth in the Irish Airtricity League with 39 points from 29 games, having failed to win five of their last six ahead of tonight’s clash. St Pat’s have won just one in their last four home games too, and could well come unstuck against an in-form Cork City outfit as a result.

The visitors are currently second in the Airtricity League with 64 points, boasting three wins from their last four. Cork City have won three and drawn two of their last six away games in the league, and could cut the deficit to leaders Dundalk to just a single point if results go their way today.

And with St Pat’s struggling for wins ahead of a meeting with an in-form, travel-happy and title-chasing Cork City, William Hill are giving odds of 4/9 for Cork to win against Athletic.
