Coritiba and Corinthians 1/1 to draw Sunday’s Brazilian Serie A clash

Posted June 18th, 2017 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Brazilian Serie A
Market: Coritiba and Corinthians to draw
Odds: 1/1 @ William Hill

Coritiba host Corinthians at the Estádio Couto Pereira in the Brazilian Serie A on Sunday afternoon, in a game that could be a close affair given the two sides are in good form and have a lot at stake. Coritiba and Corinthians occupy two spots in the top three and have the best defensive records in the division.

Pachequinho’s Coritiba side are currently third in the Brazilian Serie A with 14 points from seven games this season, coming off the back of three wins and two draws. At home, Coritiba have been formidable, boasting three wins and a draw from their four games at the Estádio Couto Pereira, conceding just one goal for their troubles. But Corinthians are no slouches either.

As for the visitors, Fábio Carille’s Corinthians side find themselves top of the table with 19 points from a possible 21, still unbeaten this season. Away from home, Corinthians boast a 100% record, shipping only two goals from the three games.

Four points clear at the summit, defeat could see Coritiba go within a point of the leaders, but with the two sides boasting tight defensive records, William Hill are giving odds of 1/1 for Coritiba and Corinthians to draw.
