Corinthians 4/9 to win against Vitoria BA in Tuesday’s Brazilian Serie A

Competition: Brazilian Serie A
Market: Corinthians to win against Vitoria BA
Odds: 4/9 @ William Hill

Corinthians welcome Vitoria BA to the Corinthians Arena, São Paulo in tonight’s Brazilian Serie A clash, and are big favourites to come out on top to put themselves in a great position to catch league leaders Palmeiras.

Corinthians are currently sixth in the Serie A with 34 points from 20 games, but their recent form has dipped which has cost them in the title race. Leaders Palmeiras are currently six points clear of Corinthians, but their lead could be halved if Corinthians win on Tuesday.

Despite their overall form suffering, Corinthians have their home form to provide solace, boasting six wins and four draws from their 10 games in their backyard this season. They have picked up 12 points from a possible 18 at the Corinthians Arena ahead of Tuesday’s meeting, and will fancy their hopes of a win given Vitoria’s lowly position and poor form.

The visitors are currently 17th in the Serie A with 23 points, but could claw their way out of the relegation zone with a draw on Tuesday. However, Vitoria have suffered three defeats from their last five, and have particularly struggled on the road. With the away side having won just one of 10 games on their travels in the league, William Hill are giving odds of 4/9 for Corinthians to win against Vitoria BA.
