Corinthians 4/9 to win against Ponte Preta in Saturday’s Brazilian Serie A clash

Posted July 7th, 2017 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Brazilian Serie A
Market: Corinthians to win against Ponte Preta
Odds: 4/9 @ William Hill

Corinthians welcome Ponte Preta to the Corinthians Arena in the Brazilian Serie A clash on Saturday afternoon, and are favourites to pick up all three points to extend their lead at the summit. Corinthians can’t stop winning this season while Ponte Preta can’t buy a victory in recent weeks.

Fábio Carille’s Corinthians side are currently top of the Brazilian Serie A table with 29 points from 11 games this season, coming off the back of five wins from their last six outings. On home soil, Corinthians have won five and drawn one of their previous six games at the Corinthians Arena and will fancy their chances against Ponte Preta as a result.

As for the visitors, Ponte Preta find themselves 11th in the division with 15 points, having failed to win four of their last five games. Gilson Kleina’s side are without a win away from home this season, picking up just three points on the road from a possible 18.

With Corinthians in such fine form while Ponte Preta continue to struggle on their travels, William Hill are giving odds of 4/9 for the hosts to pick up all three points.
