Corinthians 3/4 to win against Santa Cruz PE in Thursday’s Brazilian Serie A clash

Posted October 12th, 2016 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Brazilian Serie A
Market: Corinthians to win against Santa Cruz
Odds: 3/4 @ William Hill

Corinthians travel to the Estádio do Arruda to face Santa Cruz PE in the Brazilian Serie A on Thursday morning, and are favourites to pick up all three points to end their own winless run in the division, confining relegation-threatened Santa Cruz to a fifth consecutive defeat.

Hosts Santa Cruz are currently 19th in the Brazilian Serie A with 23 points from 29 games, having lost four games on the bounce ahead of this week’s clash. 11 points adrift of safety, the strugglers look all but down in the league, and have the worst home record in the division which will give Corinthians a lot of confidence of ending their barren run.

Visitors Corinthians find themselves ninth in the table with 42 points this season, but have gone six games without a win ahead of Thursday’s clash. The away side have picked up just one point from a possible 18 on the road, but the poor form of the struggling hosts should see Corinthians turn things around.

As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 3/4 for Corinthians to win against Santa Cruz at the Estádio do Arruda this week.
