Corinthians welcome Botafogo to the Corinthians Arena in the Brazilian Serie A on Sunday evening, and are big favourites to pick up all three points to potentially go seven clear at the summit. Corinthians are in fine form of late and should make light work of Botafogo who have been short of wins away from home this season.

As for the hosts, Fábio Carille’s Corinthians side are currently top of the Brazilian Serie A table with 26 points from 10 games this season, coming off the back of five wins and a draw from their last half a dozen outings. Corinthians have been solid on home soil too, boasting 13 points from a possible 14 at the Corinthians Arena, and Botafogo’s poor away form is likely to see them coming unstuck.

Jair Ventura’s Botafogo side find themselves six places and 11 points worse off than Corinthians in the table, having picked up just two wins from their last seven. Botafogo have struggled on the road this season, winning just one of five away games in the league, and William Hill are giving odds of 1/2 for Corinthians to win against Botafogo as a result.
