Columbus Crew welcome LA Galaxy to the Mapfre Stadium in the MLS on Thursday morning, and are big favourites to pick up all three points given the contrasting form of the two clubs. Columbus have been strong at home, while LA Galaxy can’t buy a win on the road in recent weeks which could be the deciding factor in the outcome.

Gregg Berhalter’s Columbus Crew side are currently sixth in the Eastern Conference with 36 points from 26 games this season, coming off the back of four wins from their last five outings on home soil. A win could see Columbus could see them move two places up the table and just two points off third-placed Chicago Fire.

As for the visitors, Sigi Schmid’s LA Galaxy side find themselves ninth in the Western Conference with 23 points from as many games, having lost five of their last half a dozen outings. LA Galaxy have lost their last three away games too and are likely to come unstuck this week as a result. William Hill are giving odds of 8/13 for Columbus Crew to win against LA Galaxy in Thursday’s meeting.
