Colorado Rapids welcome Seattle Sounders to the DSG Park in the MLS on Wednesday morning, and are favourites to see past the visitors given their fine home form compared to the woeful results of the Sounders on the road this season. The Rapids could climb three places with a win, leapfrogging Seattle in the process.

Pablo Mastroeni’s Colorado Rapids side are currently ninth in the Western Conference with 19 points from 17 games this season, coming off the back of four wins from their last half a dozen outings. Rapids have bene strong in their own backyard, boasting five wins from their last six home games ahead of this week’s clash.

As for the visitors, Brian Schmetzer’s Seattle Sounders side find themselves one place and two points better off than Colorado Rapids in the table, but have failed to win four of their last five games. The Sounders have lost four and drawn one of their previous five outings on the road and are underdogs in Wednesday’s meeting as a result.
