New Chelsea striker Diego Costa is being backed to set the Premier League alight this season, with the Blues having signed a couple of world -class individuals to accommodate his talents. Manager Jose Mourinho made Costa a target during last season and has been after his signature for the last few months.

In 2013/14, the Spanish international bagged an impressive 27 goals in 35 La Liga games for former side Atletico Madrid, while netting a further eight goals in the Champions League. He created 55 chances in both the league and Europe, and it’s such all-round play that Mourinho is excited about.

The 25-year-old will also have plenty of talent around him to ensure he’s given great supply in attack too. As a result, William Hill are backing him with odds of 5/1 to be the Premier League top goalscorer this season.

He will have competition from Manchester United’s Robin van Persie, Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge and Man City’s Sergio Aguero, but Costa has been in fine form for the last couple of seasons and will show his worth in a Chelsea side expected to win the league.
